The fourth Bankia Madrid Masters will take place between the 6th and 9th of October, with some of the sport’s top names primed to battle it out for the lion’s share of the €1 million prize money.

This year, the tournament, which superseded the Open de Madrid, will be held at the El Encín Golf Hotel in Alcalá de Henares for the first time, taking over from last year’s venue, the Real Sociedad Hípica Española Club de Campo. Alcalá is a beautiful, historically rich city located around 20 miles from the Spanish capital.

Congratulatory calls and texts ensured it continued to vibrate throughout the hours that followed the 20-year-old’s stunning two shot victory at the Portugal Masters.

Playing his best golf in 2 years, Tiger Woods overpowered Aaron Baddeley in Sunday’s single matches. Tiger’s victory put the U.S. team over the top, securing the President’s Cup again.
